GLPOLY had launched a silicone based, two-component thermal gap filler with a thermal conductivity of 3.0W/mK, dielectric strength of 10kV/mm and flame rating of UL94 V-0. This material is the only one that can substitute for Chomerics, 3M and Sekisui etc. world class brands of products.
At present, there are several type of materials are designed for automotive thermal management, but most of thermal management solutions focused on the use of thermal gap pad, GLPOLY is committed to delivering diversified thermal solutions while the peers are competing for projects of thermal gap pad. GLPOLY XK-S30 is two-component packaged in volume of 1:1 for ease of dispensing process. This material will cure at room temperature, also accelerated by extra heat. It provides 5-hour working time, and becomes an elastomer after curing.
XK-S30 thermal gap filler is designed for automotive applications, so the performance and reliability are top priority. Most of customer value the capacity, quality control capability and technical innovation. GLPOLY R&D team has been developing automotive/EV thermal management solution constantly, and planed to finish two-year development schedule on high performance thermal gap filler, thermally conductive epoxy adhesive and hybrid thermal and EMI absorber materials. We had introduced automated production system in 2019, which will monitor the entire process, improving capacity and achieveing product consistency. For example, one of our customers values the reliability and objective test data Requesting three regular aging test includes 85℃&85%RH, high and low temperature shock and high and low temperature alternating test like most of customers. What’s the difference between GLPOLY aging tests and rivals’? that is actual temperature applied. From the data known, there are five temperature levels A, E, B, F, H for automotive motor, and the max temperature is 180℃. GLPOLY thermal gap filler is a mixture of silicone oil and thermally conductive powder crosslinked, providing a temperature resistance of 200℃ that will satisfy automotive motor application requirement. In this project, customer requested us to test thermal gap filler exceeding max temperature for over 1000 hrs, that was not a performance aging test only.
In previous experience, specimen was tested at 200℃ for 500 hrs, now we challenged a higher temperature for 1000 hrs evaluating features like thermal resistance, breakdown voltage and hardness, etc. Obviously, customer wanted to confirm if GLPOLY XK-S30 thermal gap filler is the one he needed.
