Thermal Gel XK-G30 is non-dry out, non-drip off, helps extend service life of devices.
Most of competitive products fall into two types. One is similar to thermal silicone grease with a short service life, one year or shorter. The other one has a high viscosity, it’s not smooth to dispense. GLPOLY thermal is designed to eliminate above problems, providing high performance, non-dry out, customized flow speed etc.
A robot manufacturer contacted me and consulted about thermal interface materials, which can substitutes for ShinEtsu G-777 with a thermal conductivity of 3.0W/mK or higher and 6-year service life. As precise devices require high thermal performance and paste materials would be preferred, we recommended XK-G30 thermal gel to customer.
“Is thermal gel workable? We had tested thermal gels before, it performs well at the beginning, but we need to replace it once a year when it cures or dry out and fail to transmit heat.” We knew about this case, in reality, this material was thermal silicone grease. It will dry out in one year failed to perform as an interface material. I promised customer that GLPOLY thermal gel would not cure in six years and it provded a longer life than device’s.
I suggested customer make an accelerated aging test to shorten design cycle. Customer accepted my suggestion and fixed test conditions: high temperture 150 degree centigrade, 720 hours, changes were within 5%. Comparing with rival’s criteria of changes of 10%, GLPOLY’s standard was stricter.
One month later, customer opened test chamber and found that GLPOLY XK-G30 thermal gel remained paste status and ShinEtsu G-777 thermal grease was cured. Performance test showed that change of thermal conductivity and thermal impedance were less than 3%. “this is the best what I had tested before.” GLPOLY XK-G30 had been introduced into customer’s supplier system. We have had no quality complaint for two consecutive years.
GLPOLY XK-G30 thermal gel provides ultra low thermal impedance of 0.001℃in2/W, it wets out interfaces, decreasing contact thermal resistance. XK-G30 had been verified by the third party for shocking test and reliability test. Now GLPOLY had already partnered with DJI, ZTE, DT mobile and NIO Auto.
