An electric capacity manufacturer requested a thermal gap pad with a thermal conductivity of 4.0W/mK. As our experiences, there is no need to use such a high performance thermal gap pad for an regular electric capacity. We recommended a 2.0W/mK thermal gap pad after we learned about this application, power and temperature rise, “2.0W/mK is enough for this application, of course, it is OK to use 4.0W/mK thermal gap pad, but it rises on cost.” The customer still requested offer first.
