We had an urban landscape lighting project. The customer consulted me about thermal interface material, requesting high performance, long service life, especially low volatiles. He had tested several silicone based products, and found that no one could meet his requirement due to high siloxane volatiles,leading to atomizing. To silicone based thermal interface materials, it was a common fault. Non-silicone thermal interface materials were the best solution to solve this problem. So, we recommend non-silicone thermal gel XK-GN30 to customer. This material was a high performance, one component, fully cured, dispensable gap filling material with 3.0W/mK thermal conductivity. Customer was willing to test this product after reviewing the technical data sheet. Several months later, I got update from him. He said he finished the test on non-silicone thermal gel. he made an ageing test for two months, all went well. Temperature rise was lower than he expected, more importantly, no atomizing phenomenon took place. GLPOLY non-silicone thermal gel was designated by customer for serial production.
