As the survey on battery pack thermal interface material, three kinds of materials are widely used in battery pack: thermal gap pad, thermal gap filler and thermally conductive structural adhesive.
Thermal gap pad. Thermal conductivity is customized from 1.0W/mK to 11W/mK. this is a soft, thermally conductive, electrically insulation gap pad with excellent compression. Thermal gap pad offers exceptional thermal performance at low pressure due to low modulus resin formulation. Thermal gap filler. Thermal conductivity 2.0W/mK-3.0W/mK. It is a high thermal performace, thermally conductive, two-component, liquid gap filling material. this material will cure at room temperature or elevated temperature. It provides a balance of cured material properties and good compression set. Before cure, it flows under pressure like grease, filling unique intricate air voids and gaps. After cure, it provides a soft, electrically insulation, thermally conductive elastomer for ease repair or maintainence.
Thermally conductive structural adhesive. GLPOLY XK-D series is a high performance, thermally conductive, two-part liquid adhesive. As cured, GLPOLY XK-D series provides strong donding of 8Mpa that eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners. The mix ratio is 1:1 by volume, it is ideal for automated dispensing equipment, improving procuductivity, saving integrated cost.
