A 5G module manufacturer from Germany consulted us about thermal management solution. He asked if we could recommend any products suiting 5G antenna array. GLPOLY launched high performance thermal gel and thermal gap pad for 5G applications several years ago. We recommended two solution to customer-XK-G 6.0W/mK thermal gel and 6.0W/mk thermal gap pad.  thermal gel is a high performance liquid gap filling material featuring ultra thin bondline thickness and low thermal impedance. It is suitable for high volume, automated dispense processes; XK-P60 6.0W/mK thermal gap pad is supplied with natural tacky on two sides for ease of assembly. These two products have been recognized by customers and applied in 5G telecom equipments, such as DT mobile, Quectel Wireless, TINNO Mobile and more.

Finally, customer chose XK-P60 thermal gap pad due to assembly process. He applied for samples for verification. We delivered samples in 7 days and we recommended an accelerated aging test at 125 Celsius degree for 1000 hours.

About two months later, customer sent me a confirmation email, in which, he approved XK-P60 thermal gap pad. He said performance could meet requirements, and especailly his team was impressed by reliability, change of key data was less than 5% before and after aging test. It’s more reliable than Tflex HD80000 he used before. Now it was put into commercially production.
