Since the new project design has higher thermal conductivity requirements, the customer considered to find a better thermal conductivity and more cost-effective phase change material to replace it.
Since it was the first time to contact Chris, he was very cautious and asked about the thermal conductivity, breakdown voltage and test report, and die-cutting layout very carefully. In order to dispel the customer's doubts, I issued the corresponding test report of the thermally conductive phase change material XK-C16. And at the first time, I prepared 40 pieces of custom size samples with two thicknesses, 0.15mm and 0.25mm, and sent the samples of XK-C16 with Grassian easy-to-operate puller to the customer for testing. At the beginning of March this year, the customer was pleased to tell us that the measured breakdown voltage of XK-C16 was above 4500V, and the measured thermal resistance of XK-C16 with 0.15mm thickness was lower than that of Gummi's products, while the measured thermal resistance of XK-C16 with 0.25mm thickness was comparable to that of Gummi's Thermal flowT725, without Siloxane volatilization. The customer found that the cost of the 0.25mm version of XK-C16 was 28% lower than that of Thermal flowT725, and then the customer entered the small batch trial production stage.
