Too many rivals claim that their non-silicone products is absolutely silicone free and suitable for silicone-sensitive applications. According to consultation we received, many customers complain that silicone content can be detected from these nominal non-silicone thermal management materials.
Why do customers insist on no silicone content? Because the silicone volatiles will affect performance and service life of product in some particular devices. In 2018, a LED manufacturer enquired about non-silicone thermal gap pad with us, requested a thermal conductivity of 3.0W/mK and no silicone content absolutely.
This customer used XX non-silicone thermal gap pad before for their fame, but they were not able to detect ingredient, they didn’t found any silicone content in aging test. Till they got complaint half year later for LED light atomization and color change. When they took apart the light, they found that all problems caused by siloxane volatiles.
We recommended a 3.0W/mK non-silicone thermal gap filler pad and test method for thermal gap pad which is designed for Chinese Acedemy Institute to customer. 20 days later, accelerated aging test was finished resulting in stable performance with data change less than 3% and no silicone content. “Great, we are relieved now, we find the real silicone-free thermal gap pad.” Since then, no such complaint was submitted.
Why do we has the courage to promise that no silicone was contained? GLPOLY introduced a special production line for non-silicone products. It was seperated from silicone-based production lines from raw materials, adjuvant, process and packaging. No crossed contamination will be taken place.
