8MPa Bonding Strength-Only GLPOLY Thermally Conductive Adhesive

Jack worked in a trading company headquartered in Germany, he was in charge of purchasing thermal interface materials from Chinese market. They wanted to purchase a thermally conductive adhesive with a bonding strength greater than 4MPa which would be applied to electric vehicle battery cell for structural bond. GLPOLY was the first one that developed a 8MPa bonding strength thermally conductive adhesive.

Traditional battery pack structure were exposed more and more shortcomings, it could not satisfy increasing requirement on battery pack safety. A lot of thermally conductive structural epoxy adhesive manufacturers boasted that their products were designed to suit EV battery cell bond, providing a bonding strength of 5MPa at least. But in product verification, the key performance of bonding strength was less than 3MPa. After several trials, Jack felt frustrated. Then one day, Jack contacted me andk asked if we can provide thermal conductive epoxy adhesive with a very strong bond which can replace mechanical fasten. The most important was that bonding strength must 5MPa at least. We showed him test report of thermally conductive adhesive, but Jack doubted about the bonding strength of 8MPa due to no similar products available in market. We suggested customer verified data by himself.

Jack sent samples to HQ for verification. Two weeks later, I got Jack call, I could feel his joyous mood on the phone,”Lyn, test result was perfect with a bonding strength of 8MPa, that was really great. We are preparing papers to introduce your product into supply system and plan to start trial production next month.”
