In recent years, many engineers wanted to use local thermal interface materials instead of imported product due to great development in this industry in China. XK-G30 Thermal gel, for example, had been applied to many projects instead of THERM-A-GAP GEL30. One smartphone manufacturer found us from internet, they contacted me and asked whether I could provide an substitute for THERM-A-GAP GEL30. He had tested this material before and his team were satisfied with performance and properties of THERM-A-GAP GEL30, but he found the lead time and price unsatisfied. So an alternate product was in urgent need.

I recommeded thermal gel XK-G30 to customer with spec and test report and said:” this material is an perfect substitute for THERM-A-GAP GEL30, you can validate it first. It is not the first time using as an alternate to THERM-A-GAP GEL.” Customer collected four samples from different suppliers including XK-G30. All these samples will be tested by high temperature aging test and high and low temperature thermal shock for 1000 hours.

Two  months later, this customer came back to me with test results. The critical indexes was very reliable and stable,  change was less than 5% comparing the indexes before and after aging test. It was the only one that performed as excellent as THERM-A-GAP GEL30 among the four samples. So GLPOLY XK-G30 thermal gel OR THERM-A-GAP GEL30? “GLPOLY XK-G30’s lead time is two weeks, partial delivery is available.” I told customer, “you don’t need to arrange inventory. Also the price of XK-G30 is 30% lower than that of this imported product.” Finally, customer introduced XK-G30 into supply system.
