Non-silicone Gel-Eliminate Siloxane Issue, Extend Service Life

The fact is that most of the non-silicone out of products you found from the market will dry out under high temperature, leading to failure. A customer contacted me for thermal interface materials which would be used to camera. He said he used a non-silicone gel with 3.0W/mK thermal conductivity, and was satisfied with the performance at the beginning. But less than a year after delivery, he received lot’s of complaint of equipment’s overheating. He took device apart and checked related components, finally, he found that overheating was caused by thermal interface material-the non-silicone thermal gel. This material was dry-out, leading to heat transfer failure on chip.

GLPOLY non-silicone thermal gel had a six-year service life at least, and witnessed by leading customers such as Skyworth, DJI etc. Customer requested several samples for reliability test by himself due to trust crisis caused previous experience. We supported his request and suggested him carry out a high temperature aging test. He tested the samples at 115 Celsius degree while the other one at 90 Celsius degree for 1200 hours.

After he read the test report, he told me he was very satisfied with the temperature rise, because it was even lower than he expected, especially when he saw the non-silicone thermal gel maintaining state of paste, he was really impressed. Now He has not received complaint like this again for two years since we enter into cooperation.
