I had a 5G router project last year, the customer said he needed a thermal paste substituting for SPG-50A that would not dry out and pump out after assembling. I thought thermal gel would be a good choice, so I recommeded thermal gel XK-G50. But customer doubted and said he had tested three brands of thermal gel at 125 Celsius degree, without exception, all three items failed. When he took components apart, he found the thermal gel dried out, leading to component overheating. This was the point. The products he uesed were similar to thermal gel, but I guessed these products were traditional thermal silicone grease that would volatile and dry out in high temperature. But GLPOLY thermal gel would not, we promised. We wished to provide samples to verify and customer had nothing to lose.
Customer carried out high temperature ageing test at 125 Celsius degree for 1200 hours. In the entire process, the tenperature rise was even low than they expected and change of key indexes before and after test were less than 5%, it was pretty reliable. More importantly, thermal gel XK-G50 maintained state of paste after high temperature ageing test.
GLPOLY thermal gel XK-G50 has been applied to 5G telecom, automotive electronics, approving by customer in volume production.
