Earlier 2016, Mr Wang, the thermal management engineer from NIO Motor contacted us for thermal interface material for thermal management of battery pack. He was designing a thermal management solution for prismatic battery pack (square battery pack). This was the first time he designed a thermal solution for battery pack, after effective technical coordination, we proposed a solution, using thermal gap pad: thermal conductivity: 2.0W/mK; hardness: Shore00 30, but we suggest Shore 00 45 for ease of handle; compression rate: 30%, because battery pack consisted of modules, the pressure was little to concern about.
Three days later, we delivered 3 sheets of thermal gap pad. Mr. Yang was surprised at our fast response. The next day he contacted us and said the was too soft, when he took off the protection film and picked up thermal gap pad, he found the thermal gap pad was deformed and size was getting bigger. We suggested that if we made the hardness by Shore00 45, we could solve the issue of deformation. We sent new samples in three days. this time no deformation took place. Mr. Yang had carried out aging test for nine months, and all went well. Till now, we have been collaborated for five years, and no quality issue raised.
