Solving AI Device’s Thermal Management Issue-GLPOLY Thermal Gel

Several months ago, an engineer from a smart device manufacturing company contacted me, consulting about thermal interface material which would be used to AGV (automated guided vehicle). He said a chip generated lots of heat and the heat could not be transferred effectively. He tested thermal gel and thermal silicone grease, but found that both of these two thermal interface materials dried out in 120 Celsius degree. “Thermal silicone grease will dry out under high temperature, but thermal gel will not if it is genuine.” I recommended XK-G40 according to customer’s desgin.

Customer was willing to test XK-G40 thermal putty, he would loss nothing while he got one more product involved in test plan. A high temperature aging test at 150 Celsius degree for 500 hours and a thermal shock test from minus 40 to 150 Cesius degree for 500 cycles were carried out in the next month. One day, the customer called me, he said GLPOLY XK-G40 thermal gel exhibited the best performance out of five samples, it was non-dry out and non-drip off, he would introduce XK-G40 into supply system. Now XK-G40 thermal gel is in volume production.

GLPOLY thermal gel XK-G40 is a dispenable gap filling material, designed to eliminate time consuming hand assembly, decreasing installation cost and logistic complexity. It’s compatible with high volume, automated dispense processes.
